That is never truer than during the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. We know all of you are concerned, too, and that you want to have a clear view as to how our organization is addressing the virus. This page is intended to serve as the central location for the latest information. It will be updated in real time, as details become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/CEO-Communication-October-28-2021.pdf\">2021 Holiday Plans &amp; Covid 19: A message from Grafton&#8217;s CEO<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/March-2021-Letter.pdf\">Read an update from Grafton&#8217;s CEO, Jamie Stewart<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Return-to-In-Person-Learning-Letter.pdf\">All in-person learning has resumed<\/a>. As students return to in-person learning, parents and guardians will be required to submit a <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Day-student-parent-home-screening-form-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">daily screening form<\/a> of their day students.<\/li><li>Vaccinations have been offered to our staff; to date, 73% of employees have opted to receive it. We are also pursuing vaccination for all clients who are eligible and have opted to receive it.<\/li><li>Both on-site and off-site visitation have resumed for parents, guardians, and grandparents of the children and adults we serve<\/li><li>Community outings have resumed, although each outing is reviewed by our Covid-19 monitoring team to ensure safety<\/li><li>Family engagement and other onsite activities for groups will resume when allowed by CDC guidance and the Governor<\/li><li>A list of safe activities for off-site therapeutic passes can be found <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Grafton-Approved-Outings_032521.pdf\">here<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Grafton-School-Campus-COVID-19-Mitigation-Health-Plan-Revised-1.3.22.pdf\">School Campus COVID-19 Mitigation Health Plan<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional details include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A team of medical leadership, which meets daily, is overseeing Grafton\u2019s COVID-19 efforts.<\/li><li>Grafton has adopted the Center for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cms.gov\/medicareprovider-enrollment-and-certificationsurveycertificationgeninfopolicy-and\/guidance-infection-control-and-prevention-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19-nursing-homes-revised\">guidelines for nursing homes<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;for our programs.<\/li><li>We are&nbsp;<strong>working directly with the Virginia Department of Health<\/strong>&nbsp;(DOH) Lord Fairfax Health District as well as Richmond officials. The DOH epidemiologist provided us with guidance and is keeping us up to date with the most recent information regarding COVID-19.<\/li><li>Our medical staff have&nbsp;<strong>scenario-planned potential exposure events<\/strong>&nbsp;in collaboration with external authorities.<\/li><li>We have&nbsp;<strong>redoubled efforts to sanitize<\/strong>&nbsp;surfaces throughout each facility and program, and have communicated widely and repeatedly about the importance of proper coughing\/sneezing etiquette as well as hand washing hygiene protocol per CDC standards.<\/li><li>We are&nbsp;<strong>screening all referrals<\/strong>&nbsp;to Grafton facilities, both prior to and at the time of admission. Those with symptoms of respiratory illness and fever will not be admitted without clearance from external medical resources.<\/li><li><strong>Food reserves,<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>pharmaceuticals and other protective equipment<\/strong> have been stocked at all sites.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We have compiled some useful Coronavirus-related resources for parents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grafton.org\/covid-19-response\/covid-19-resources-for-parents\/\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are planning a visit, a list of hotels that have been evaluated by Grafton can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grafton.org\/for-families\/planning-a-visit\/\">here<\/a>. Each has heightened Covid safety guidelines, including enhanced COVID cleaning and precautions.
