{"id":470,"date":"2011-07-28T11:19:55","date_gmt":"2011-07-28T11:19:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/grafton.local\/?p=470"},"modified":"2014-10-29T12:04:20","modified_gmt":"2014-10-29T16:04:20","slug":"grafton-integrated-health-network-earns-highest-possible-recognition-from-international-commission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grafton.org\/grafton-integrated-health-network-earns-highest-possible-recognition-from-international-commission\/","title":{"rendered":"Grafton Integrated Health Network Earns Highest Possible Recognition from International Commission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"noheight\"><!--ae:article--><\/p>\n<p>News: For Immediate Release<br \/>\nGrafton Integrated Health Network Earns Highest Possible Recognition from International Commission<\/p>\n<p>Grafton Integrated Health Network\u2019s (GIHN) Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities, Outpatient Services &#038; Corporate Services Receive Three Year Accreditation<\/p>\n<p>Winchester, VA \u2013 July 28, 2011\u2014The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has granted Grafton Integrated Health Network\u2019s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities, outpatient services, intensive outpatient services and corporate services a three-year accreditation, CARF\u2019s highest level possible.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, CARF surveyors visited Grafton IHN\u2019s Berryville and Leesburg campuses to conduct a re-accreditation review of the services provided at the organization\u2019s two psychiatric residential treatment facilities. By all accounts, this process was a resounding success.<\/p>\n<p>The official CARF survey report states, \u201cThis achievement is an indication of your organization\u2019s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of practice excellence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CARF surveyors identified numerous strengths, including the following: <\/p>\n<ul class=\"CommonPagelist\">\n<li>Information and data are comprehensively collected, reviewed, and analyzed at an exceptional level.<\/li>\n<li> A true family-based approach to care is used with parents of clients speaking highly of personnel and the organization as a whole.<\/li>\n<li>The Grafton Learning Management System, the online training tool, is a sophisticated web-based resource that results in overall organizational performance improvement.\n<\/li>\n<li>The treatment plans are well organized, easy to read, and complete.<\/li>\n<li> The organization continues to be a leader in the field of behavioral health in reducing the use of seclusion and restraint. The practices related to this effort clearly demonstrate a genuine respect and compassion for the persons served.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CARF has been a leading, independent, nonprofit accrediting body of human services since 1966 and conducts 1,600 on-site reviews of health care provider organizations each year. Its focus is ensuring that services provided by an organization meet the highest industry standards of quality and outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccreditation is evidence to consumers that an organization is committed to encouraging and utilizing feedback, continuously improving services, and serving the community,\u201d said Gaynor. \u201cFor a provider, accreditation is validation that we are appropriately focused on improving efficiency, fiscal health and service delivery.
